About Alison Marion Snodgrass

Dr Alison Snodgrass is an experienced consultant paediatrician with a special interest in adolescent medicine and sports medicine. She sees children and adolescents with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to adolescent obesity and weight management/exercise prescription, eating disorders, mood disturbances and risk-taking behaviours as well as general paediatric growth/pubertal staging and developmental assessment, routine vaccinations and management of common childhood illnesses.

Dr Alison obtained her bachelors’ degrees in Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2001. She went on to obtain her masters’ degree in paediatric medicine in 2006, was accredited a paediatrician in 2010 and admitted as a fellow to the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2022. She subsequently obtained her graduate diploma in sports medicine in 2023. Prior to entering private practice, she served in KK Hospital in the department of general paediatrics and adolescent medicine for over 20 years. She has published several scientific and reflective articles in various international and local peer-reviewed journals.

Having been a mother to three children through their adolescent years and beyond, Dr Alison hopes to help guide as many other children and teenagers as possible to healthier, happier lives.

Dr Alison enjoys mentoring younger doctors and has previously served as clinical physician faculty member, Paediatrics in the SingHealth paediatric residency programme. She has also contributed to medical education in the capacity of adjunct instructor in the Academic Clinical Programme for Pediatrics (Duke-NUS) and clinical lecturer in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLL SoM).

Dr. Alison served as a board member of Catholic Family Life, a non-profit organisation, from 2014  to 2022. During this time, she had the privilege of attending the Governance for Outstanding Organisation Directors (SGOOD) Programme helmed by the Singapore Institute of Directors.  She is a member of the Catholic Medical Guild of Singapore and has volunteered as a paediatrician on medical mission trips to other countries in the region, including Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.
